Comprenant son Soldier’s Individual Pay Record, bien marqué Kennedy au crayon sur la couverture. Livret rempli à partir du 31 août 1943 jusqu’au 30 octobre 1943. Un petit calepin vierge daté 1943. L’adresse d’un photographe de Rapid City noté sur un morceau de papier. Neuf photos personnelles en noir et blanc. Raymond Kennedy avait 8 frères et soeurs dont Bill et Donald. Photo de Ray et Donald au moment de leur départ à l’armée. Photos de sa fille Marie et de sa femme Helen. Photo de ses voisins Clements Oval Hopkins. A noter une certaine patine et usure des pièces. Pièce émouvante, récupérée chez les habitants d’une ferme située dans les marais de Carentan où Ray Kennedy, Jack Truman,Dahlquist Arne et ses camarades avaient trouvé refuge au petit matin du 6 juin juste après avoir attéri en parachute. Ray Kennedy mourra le 8 juin des suites de ses blessures. Illustrée pages 22 et 23 du livre 75 objets du Débarquement de Normandie. Attestation originale de provenance signée de Bertrand Paris jointe avec un exemplaire de l’ouvrage. Including his Soldier’s Individual Pay Record, Kennedy is clearly marked in pencil on the cover. The pocket book contains notes from August 31, 1943 to October 30, 1943. A small blank notebook dated 1943. The address of a photographer from Rapid City was noted on a piece of paper. Nine personal black and white photographs. Raymond Kennedy had 8 brothers and sisters including Bill and Donald. Photo of Ray and Donald at the time of their departure into the army. Photos of his daughter Marie and his wife Helen. Photo of his neighbors Clements Oval Hopkins. Note some patina and wear and tear in some parts. The item is rather touching, and is as found. The item was recovered from the occupants of a farm located in the marshes of Carentan where Ray Kennedy, Jack Truman, Arne Dahlquist and his comrades had sought refuge in the early morning of June 6 just after landing in their parachute drop. Ray Kennedy died of his wounds on June 8. An illustration can be found on pages 22 and 23 in the book 75 objects of the Landings in Normandy.
